Brad and Lisa
Our names are Brad and Lisa. We have
been married for eight wonderful years. Our lives together have been
filled with great joy and occasional sadness, which has brought us even
closer over the years. We have tried with all of our hearts to have
a biological child, but have come to the realization that our lives
could be as fulfilled by bringing a child into our family through adoption.
We feel lucky to have found each other. We are close with our families
and are fortunate to have their love and support in everything we do.
Like us, they are anxious to welcome an adopted child into the family.
We live in Santa Barbara, California, in a charming country house that
overlooks the ocean. We love to go to the beach with our two dogs, Baxter
and Murphy. They are a very important part of our family. Baxter and
Murphy have very gentle natures and adore children. We often take them
to visit friends, and they are famous for running past the adults in
search of the children.
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Southern California. Lisa loves
children and worked extensively in children's studies while obtaining
her degree in Psychology. She is a qualified interior designer, with
a diploma acquired while living in Australia. Although she enjoys the
creativity of her work, she looks forward to staying at home when she
has a baby. Lisa was adopted at birth, and has first hand experience
in life as an adopted child. The abundance of love and
security provided to Lisa by her parents has given her the confidence
that an adopted child is as loved as one given birth to. In her free
time Lisa enjoys riding horses, playing tennis and practicing yoga.
She is an avid gardener, with their home overflowing with beautiful
flowers. Lisa loves art and architecture, and is an old movie buff.
She loves to go for hikes in the lovely hills around her house. She
plays the piano, and loves to play while Brad sings and plays the guitar.
Brad also earned his bachelors degree at USC, where he studied business
and communications. Brad is the founder and president of a successful
telecommunications company. Through Brad's work we had the opportunity
to live in Australia for four years, while he developed the international
department of his company. We hope to one day offer our child the opportunity
to travel the world as we did. Although he loves his work, Brad also
has many hobbies. He is an excellent athlete. He plays tennis competitively,
surfs with his friends, and golfs regularly with his brother. He shares
Lisa's love of gardening and practicing yoga.

Santa Barbara is a beautiful seaside town north of Los Angeles. It is
a warm and welcoming community, filled with young families. Santa Barbara's
schools have been distinguished as the best in the state of California.
There are an endless supply of activities and programs for children and
their families. On Saturdays we love to cheer on our godson and his little
league team. Our other godchild loves to dance, and has many performances
that we look forward to attending. We know that our own child would flourish
in this environment.
We thank God for the blessings in our lives, and recognize the needs of
others in our community. We are volunteers with the Make a Wish Foundation.
We also sponsor a child in Haiti through World Vision. We found it natural
to gravitate towards organizations that helped children. We believe that
we have a responsibility to help others, and hope to pass this example
back to our own child.
Our greatest wish is to start a family and experience the joys of parenthood.
We feel that in our lives together we have been greatly blessed and we
look forward to sharing those gifts and dedicating our lives to our child.
Our goal is to provide a warm, caring place to allow our child's heart,
mind and body to grow to the fullest potential. We look forward to sharing
the many joys of our child's life and stand ready to love and support
our child.
We appreciate and understand the difficult decisions that face you at
