Ann and Kaela

My name is Ann and I’m the proud mom of an adorable three year old girl (adopted) named Kaela. We live about 20 minutes away from San Francisco, in a community that is very child friendly. There are parks in every neighborhood, a great library which offers story telling, children’s activities plus a great book selection.

Before becoming a mom, I was a very active person and always on the move. So I love that our home is walking distance to several parks, the library, school and downtown. We are able to incorporate exercise while walking to a recreation class or going grocery shopping. And now my daughter is old enough to ride her scooter (rather than ride in the stroller) which she loves and it’s a fun way for her to get some exercise too.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be able to afford to be a full time mom and not miss any of Kaela’s exploration of the new world around her. I waited so long to become a parent that I don’t want to miss a moment of it. I want to be the one to raise my daughter (children) and teach her (them) the values and behavior that are important.

When I was little, I always thought I’d have 12 kids (probably because I loved the book Cheaper by the Dozen! Now I think I’ll be fine with two children. I am a big believer in siblings and I’m really hoping we can add to our family very soon so that Kaela and her brother or sister are close enough in years to be able to enjoy (and not enjoy!) growing up together.

I am hoping that my two children become as close as I am with my sister, who is my best friend. She is such an amazing person and a great Aunt to Kaela. Her support before and after Kaela was born has been stupendous - she visits nearly every two months despite living on the East Coast! We look forward to next year when she will be moving to the West Coast - yeah!

There’s a lot more I would like to share with you and I’m sure you have questions to ask as well. Let’s continue this conversation over the phone. Please let David know that you’d like to talk and he’ll arrange for it to happen!

Regards,

Ann
